After free falling from a helicopter you would think that it was the end for Chev Helios (Jason Statham). NOT SO FAST. For Crank 2 High Voltage the fall is just the beginning. The movie begins with Chev being scraped off the pavement and thrown into the back of a van. He later wakes up mid surgery to see his heart being replaced with a mechanical one. Thus the craziness ensues.
To put it plainly Chev is on a mission. He must track down his stolen heart while periodically electrically charging his artificial one. Much like the original Crank Chev runs through the city taking out all the bad guys that get in his way. Crank 2 is a visual onslaught of skin, blood, guts and guns. If you couldn't tell already this movie is not for the faint of heart. It's also not for anybody looking for a strong plot and outstanding dialogue but that's beside the point.
Make no mistake this is an over the top action movie in every sense of the word. Most of it bordering on cartoon-ish and unbelievable. If you liked the first Crank you will really like Crank 2. On the other hand If you didn't like the first you really won't like the second.
